1. philadelphia magazine: pizza brain

fell in love with pizza brain the moment i walked in because

    a: it smelled ridiculous

    and

b: in addition to their crazy good artisanal pizza, it is also a pizza museum & home to the largest collection of pizza-memorabilia certified by guinness world records.

not much else can be said, except: go.

    owner, brian

the charlie mayfer: mozzarella, sweet potato, seasonal apple, honey goat cheese, pecan, hint of brown sugar, pie spice

    chef, joe

  3. anthology magazine: our philadelphia story

shooting for anthology is incredible, but shooting “our philadelphia story” for anthology magazine was an actual dream of mine.

walking through philadelphia with the ladies of the magazine was so much fun & if i was to be completely honest, it never felt like work.

here are a few selects & outtakes from the shoot.  as you can see, when i’m in charge of the philadelphia tour, the majority of landmarks are food destinations.

to see the whole article in print —which i highly recommend — of this month’s anthology magazine check out your local anthropologie store.

  5. although we just had our first snow fall of the season, i can’t help but dream of spring. talula’s garden is one of my favorite places to go when the flowers start to bloom.  while i am defrosting this winter, i’ll just have to think of these fresh springtime meals a little longer…

  9. magpie: my new favorite lunch spot

a while back i shot this opener for philadelphia wedding magazine featuring magpie artisan pie boutique. i love the idea of having pies at a wedding — in fact — i did just that for my own wedding this past august.  my favorite is the magpie butterscotch bourbon.

it was a dream shoot in the perfect location and now i have a much better appreciation for what goes into each bottle of juice.

here are a few of the tears & outtakes from the shoot.

  17. bold and beautiful, anthology magazine: issue 7

i recently had a dream opportunity to photograph a full feature in the current issue of anthology magazine.  for the article, i photographed the home of one of my favorite ladies in philadelphia, elizabeth nettles.  her style is knock-out and i felt so fortunate to capture it for anthology.

to see the whole article in print — which i highly recommend — check out your nearest anthrolopologie.

  19. traditional home magazine shoot

i recently shot a feature for traditional home magazine and their new online magazine, tradhome.  this issue featured the top ten trad designers of today.  naomi stein, designer & blogger extraordinaire not only nominated the featured designer, mona ross berman, but wrote the piece beautifully!  mona ross berman was picked as one of the top 10 designers of today (what an honor!) and i had the opportunity to not only photograph her but one of her most beautiful projects to date.  see a few peeks from the story below:
